Muslim Women in America

Well where can I start. Women in general encounter gender discrimination despite their religion. And on the other hand muslims encounter discrimination on a every day basis. I know some people are going to say that no you live in America their is no such a thing as gender discrimination but their are many women that can not achieve what they want in their careers because they are a woman and in many companies women are payed less then men.
The difference in women being discriminated by the other sex or just being discriminated by other nationalities is how we see discrimination. But many Muslim women in America are discriminated by other Muslim women and also by people in general.
Many Muslim women wear the traditional head covering (hijab), so they become obvious targets, seeing a woman who is wearing hijab everyone knows that she is obviously a Muslim. Then they become easy targets of sexual and physical harassment. She is harassed at school at her job( thats if she can get one), and everywhere else.
When I was in Middle School kids used to harass me all the time and at that time I did not know what they are saying because I didn't speak English very well. One day at class one of the boys pulled my hijab I did not know what to say I was angry and sad in the same time I just walked out of the room. I also get some people that are so ignorant they approach me and tell me "Do you have hair under your hijab?" or they tell me "It's OK don't be afraid no one can get you hear you can take your hijab off?" I'm like NO I'm not afraid of anybody I'm wearing the hijab for religious reasons.
